Welcome to Ellis Briggs Cycles. You will find no mail-order on our site, we are a proper family run cycle shop in the heart of West Yorkshire.

You may ask “Why shop at an independent bicycle shop?” The answer is simple. To us you are not just a number, not just another sale, another unit, we don't hold such a short term view. We want our customers to enjoy cycling and to continue to enjoy it. That's why we won't sell you anything which isn't up to the job or correctly set up for your enjoyment.

The big multiples are only interested in making that sale, they don't care what you buy. They don't care if you find cycling hard because you were sold a bike which was unsuitable and poorly set up.

You may say “But you're in business to make money too!” and we won't lie and say that isn't true. The difference is that we want more people cycling. How can we do that if we sell bikes which are poorly set up and don't work, which just end up rusting in the back of the shed? So we don't.
